Despite Purell-ing everyone within a 10-mile radius, Brixon has managed to get sick with his first cold. Nothing breaks a mom's heart like hearing that awful, barking cough! And he sure hates having his boogers sucked out! I brought him to the pediatrician yesterday, to make sure it was just a cold, and they told me "Casey, mother of the year, we're glad you brought him in. We sure love seeing this precious little man..." Okay, so it didn't really happen like that, but the nurse practitioner does adore him! He even got a kiss on the forehead from her! Despite the cold, he started smiling like crazy this weekend. There are some photos below...
In news unrelated to my little bear, Bin 82 was voted "Best Restaurant for Wine" by the readers of the Charlotte Sun! Even though we're not really a restaurant, we'll take the accolades! Now we're gearing up for our big Downtown Get Down event on Saturday. If you're here in Punta Gorda, come on down! We're shutting down Taylor Rd., and having music, food, drinks and fun! 3 to 11pm.
