Christmas...and Manatees...
We did things a little differently this Christmas...Nick's Uncle Tim turned 50 on Christmas Eve, so we headed up to Crystal River for a couple of days to celebrate! We took a boat out and got to see lots of manatees, I did a paddleboarding fitness class, we spent lots of time with our cousins, and had a great surprise party! We drove home on Christmas morning to a beautiful sunrise and the music of the TransSiberian Orchestra. When we got home, our awesome elves Mimi and Papa had breakfast, mimosas, and all of the gifts ready to open! After a day of assembling drumsets, setting up laptops, and making coffee on a fantastic new coffeemaker, we headed to Rudy and Kelly's for dinner and a fire. It was a great Christmas (and the first that Hudson wasn't afraid of Santa)!

My Favorite City in the World...
In early December, Nick and I headed to Chicago for five days, and could not have had more fun! We shopped, ate great dinners, did a lot of fun things, and FROZE! We happened to be in the right place at the right time, and got our picture taken with the World Series trophy, were given two free tickets for the third row of 'Stomp,' saw ZooLights (and my dad's bench) at the Lincoln Park Zoo, and had beers at the Billy Goat. We went to Wrigley Field, the Shedd Aquarium, the Balzekas Museum and Grand Duke's, and I even got to take a class at the Joffrey Ballet. We went out to Geneva to see Ankur and Shreya (and walked in the most beautiful snow), went to a Christmas market, and visited Macy's on State Street twice. It was a perfect trip :)
