Huntin' for Eggs!

I'm trying. I swear. I would really like to update this blog more than once a month!!! We just seem to have a TON going on right now! Brixon seems to be growing and changing each day, and boy, does he keep me on my toes! He is so much fun. He's walking really well now, and getting into just about everything. He has learned how to climb up onto the shelves next to my TV, how to open doors, and much to my dismay, unplug my lamp (and then proceed to try and put my car keys in the outlet!). Whew! I'm exhausted just recollecting :) He loves playing with his flash cards, reading, and chatting. He's got a few more words under his belt, in addition to "mom," "dad," and "dog." He says "car" (well, it's really "arrrrr," it applies to any motor vehicle, and he sounds like Tim Allen on "Home Improvement" when he says it), "moo," "vroom vroom," "quack," and now "doggie (dog-EEEEE)." He understands so many of the things that we say, and questions that we ask him. I have to say, before I had a child of my own, I truly underestimated just how intelligent they really are! And last week, we had to make our second trip to the ER, as he crashed and burned on our tile, resulting in a giant purple goose egg on his head. He acted fine, but I was sure nervous! The doctor kept us a bit for observation, and then said just to check on him every two hours that night. I have a feeling this kiddo will be just as accident-prone as his daddy :)
Today, Brix participated in his first Easter Egg Hunt at Deep Creek Elementary (where Nick went to school!) He had a great time; especially meeting the Easter Bunny!

I got one, Mom!!

He got the hang of this in no time!

Come on, Grandpa! We've got eggs to hunt for!

He was resting his head on the Easter Bunny! Awww....
