So you've noticed that I haven't posted about Brixon's first day of school....well, that's because we've been sick nearly every day since he started! We ended up with the flu the first week, and then got better just in time for him to bring home a cold, which turned into an ear and sinus infection for me! Poor Brixy woke up this morning, and his eyes were almost swollen shut. So we spent most of the day at the doctor, and then home sleeping! Nick has managed to get through this unscathed, so he gets to take care of us :) Aside from the illness, Brixon is doing great there! He loves the art projects, music, playing and just being around other kids! It's still an adjustment for us, and sure as heck takes a lot longer to get ready in the morning now, but it's good.
Nick's business is doing great! He has huge accounts all over the state, most being in Miami, Tampa and Orlando. He's out-of-town a few times a week, but at least he's not gone until the wee hours of the morning every night! He really loves it, and I'm glad he is so succesful!
We'll be travelling a lot this summer, too. We're headed to Hollywood (FL) this weekend, so that I can get some new photos taken. Then the following weekend, Nick is headed to New Orleans for Ankur's bachelor party! In early August, we are headed to Orlando for a few days for a work meeting, then almost directly from there, we're headed to Chicago for Ankur's wedding! We're leaving B at home with the grandparents, so that will be a first!! In September, we're going up to Grand Rapids for my ten-year reunion, and then in October, Nick is headed out to Napa/Sonoma for his annual buying trip. I'm still trying to swing a few extra days, so that I can join him ;) So that's our summer in a nutshell...in a car, in a plane, or at work. And hopefully not sick anymore!!!
And I knoooowww I said I wouldn't post anymore about words that he is saying, but the other day, I said to him "You make me the happiest mommy in the world," and out of nowhere, he said "happy!!" But the way he says it, 'ha-PPY,' with this huge smile, just makes my heart melt :) I just love that kid! We took him to the fireworks last night, and he loved them! He just kept saying "wow....wow..." Ha! I don't know where he comes up with this stuff, but it sure makes me laugh!
