First REAL trip to Disney!

So we've been to Orlando a few times, and Downtown Disney once, but this weekend, we took Brix on his first real visit to Disney World! Nick and Matt needed to go to auction to find a forklift for Big Crush, so Carrie, Tara, Brixon and I tagged along. We shopped (and shopped some more!) visited EPCOT, and made a quick jaunt through Animal Kingdom. It was really busy this weekend, so we didn't get to do as much as we would have liked. And Sunday night, it was in the 40's, so we didn't even go to Downtown Disney, which we always do when we're there! It was fun, but we'll be going back for my birthday in May, so hopefully it won't be quite so busy.

Wayyyy behind....

Yikes-o. It's been a whole month since my last update!!! Hehe...you would think I was Perez Hilton, and that I had some earth-shattering dish on Jennifer Aniston or something :). Well, I don't have that, but I do have some good stuff on my little man!!! He had his one-year check up, and he's doing great! In the 77th percentile for height, and 28th for weight. Tall and thin, just like his Grandpa Ron! Nick swears we have an athlete on our hands. And the way I've seen him throw his dinner across the kitchen, I have an inkling he may be right! H e hasn't started walking on his own yet, but he is standing on his own. I think he may just skip walking and go right to running. Did I already say 'yikes' once in this post?!?! He's got a few words down, "mama," "dada," "dog," and he really likes to hiss when you ask him what a snake does. Ask him where his nose is, or say "PU!!!!," and he'll plug it! And I would also love to know who taught him to shake his head 'no!' We taught him how to do 'touchdown!' for the Super Bowl, and he also raises his shoulders and turns his hands up when you ask him "what happened?!?!" He loves phones, and will hold it to his ear when you ask him "who is it?" Don't get too attached to what you're watching on TV if he's around. He grabs the remote, points it at the TV, and starts pushing buttons. Somehow he always manages to turn the picture-in-picture on. I don't even know how to do that! He has a knack for untying shoes. Even double-knotted shoes. Uh oh. He has nine teeth so far, and judging by the amount of snot coming out of his nose today, possibly a tenth. He absolutely loves pasta, cheese, and milk. He absolutely doesn't love napping. The kid cracks me up!!!

As far as Nick and me, we've been pretty busy! Nick has really been working hard to build up the Big Crush business, and now he has accounts from Orlando to Naples! Pretty good for only being up and running for a few months! We had a huge wine tasting event last weekend, and it was fantastic! I'm busy with training for some new responsibilities at my job. I'm headed to Dallas at the end of this month, and Chicago the next. I am going to take a little break, however. I'm flying directly to Michigan from Dallas to go see John Mayer in GR. And my family and friends. But mostly John Mayer :p. Nick and I went to see him last weekend in Tampa, and he is unbelievable in concert. We saw him a few years back (I literally had to drag Nick there), and we were blown away by how phenomenal of a guitarist he is! So when I saw he was playing Van Andel, I made some quick arrangements :)

Well, hopefully I'll be back with a new post sooner than a month from now!!!
