It's a few days after Thanksgiving, but it's never too late to give thanks, right? So here is my list of top ten things I am thankful for:
10. My newfound and uncanny ability to cry at nothing these days...whether it be an old rerun of "Full House" or a bow that I couldn't seem to get tied onto a gift basket last week
9. Jeans with elastic waistbands...I might even rock these after Brixon is born
8. Waffles and cereal, which I never eat less than twice a day anymore
7. 24-hour Walmart, for above reason
6. Yoga, which just might get me through this process in one flexible little piece
5. That I am not pregnant during the 90+ degree summer heat
4. My 'C' cup...I would be even more thankful if I could keep them:)
3. Awesome family and friends...I couldn't ask for anyone better!
2. Nick, who I am beyond lucky to have in my life!
1. Brixon, who I haven't even met yet, is the most wonderful blessing I have ever received...
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!!!

In the home stretch...
So I technically have about 9 weeks left until my due date, but judging my my rather "robust" midsection, the doctor thinks little B will be here early. I am counting down the days...not only because I am starting to get incredibly uncomfortable, but because I am so ready to have him here! Nick tells Brixon and me every day how much he can't wait for his "little buddy" to be here. You would never know that before I got pregnant, Nick didn't really have a strong desire either way to have children. He has been so incredible throughout this process. I had a really rough pregnancy in the beginning, and I am so thankful that I have such a supportive, concerned husband. It is really important to have someone who doesn't make you think you are being completely ridiculous and irrational, which you probably are, throughout your pregnancy. Whether I am crying over not being able to fit into anything but sweats and his t-shirts, or stressing out over how everything is going to get done before Brixon arrives, Nick is always a kind and loving voice of reason. And his love and encouragement has only gotten stronger by the day. I have never seen him actually have the motivation to assemble anything (usually that's my job), but when it came to the nursery furniture and stroller, he literally could not wait to get it all put together! I got an urgent text message from him the other day telling me that our dresser finally came in, followed by "YAHOO!" all in caps! Nothing makes me happier than seeing Nick's face and hearing the excitement in his voice when he talks about Brixon. I am so lucky to have Nick in my life, and I cannot wait to see him "in action" as a dad!

4D Ultrasound!
Last Tuesday we had our 4D Ultrasound, and it was great!!! All of the grandparents and Aunt Tara, Aunt Chantil and Ginny were there to watch! Brixon even got the hiccups in my belly and we could see it on the screen and everyone was able to feel it in my belly! What an amazing experience! And sure, I'm a little biased, but I think he's pretty darned cute!! If you would like to download any of these wonderful photos as perhaps a background or screensaver, feel free. There will be a $5 service charge made payable to the "Brixon Nemec College Fund." :)
