Nothing better than a Michigan summer...

Last week, we took our very first family vacation with just the three of us, and we made the most of every minute! Literally, Brixon got up at the crack of dawn, didn't nap most days, and stayed up until well after dark (which isn't until after 10 up there!), making for one tired two-year old by the time we got home! We spent time on Silver Lake, went up to Traverse City for a couple of days, listened to Blues on the Mall, explored the Frederik Meijer Gardens, played at the Grand Rapids Children's Museum, put our feet in the water at Grand Haven beach, rode the carousel at the Grand Rapids Public Museum, caught up with a lot of my friends, and spent lots of quality time with our family!! Enjoy the photos....all 247 of them. Just kidding...sort of ;)

Silver Lake

With Joelle

Riding the big boy water slide!

His new 'cheese face'

Up the stairs, down the slide..repeat. For 45 solid minutes.

"Going to the lodge, the Great Wolf Lodge..."

Apparently we missed the memo about the giant water bucket, and ended up in the fort underneath it. Brixon still wakes up in the middle of the night, screaming about the "big bucket dumping on his head." See below...

24 hours later, and he still can't bear to watch it...

Well hello...
