So tired!

Oh boy...literally!

Last Friday night, our little man tried to make a quick escape! I began having back pain at around 7:00, and by 10:00pm, it became completely unbearable!!! I didn't want to go to the hospital, but the doctor requested that I come in. Good thing I did...I was in preterm labor! At least now I know what contractions feel like!!! Can't wait to have more :P. I found out that I have a kidney infection that led to the preterm labor. They gave me a shot and were able to stop the labor, and now I'm taking medicine to clear up the infection. I've been having a lot of non-painful contractions the past few days, so I'm just trying to take it easy (which we all know is nearly impossible for me!) Nick was pretty bummed we didn't get to come home with Brixon, but he's just not quite ready yet (and neither am I! I need to get my hospital bag packed ASAP!). Although he is quite the chunky monkey...according to the ultrasound we had last Thursday, he's 6lbs. 5 oz. already...which means by today, he's close to 7 lbs. already! I had an appointment with my doctor on Monday morning, and she decided that because of his size and the fact that I am contracting so much, she is going to induce me on January 12th, hence the ticker update! I am still really 13 days behind that tracker, but Brixon is pretty much over being inside! He's hearing what a good time he's missing outside, and he's ready to join in the fun! To be honest, I don't think I'll even make it to the 12th!!! I'll post some belly pics later on, and you'll see why :) Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

40 days to go?!?!

Well at least that's what the ticker to the right says...Wow. I will be a parent in just over a month! I cannot believe how fast this time has gone by. Before I know it, I'll be in a hospital bed, screaming and cursing Nick for getting me in this mess to begin with! Just kidding...I requested an epidural way back at my first 8-week check-up, so I better not feel a thing! I am getting huge, and have my last ultrasound this Thursday to confirm that I am, in fact, pregnant with a 13-pound baby or triplets that they didn't seem to notice in the other 4 ultrasounds. Hehehe...here is our Christmas card for this year. It will be much cuter next year, I promise...
