We've been staying super busy...dance wrapped up for the year two weeks ago, and it was a little sad this year. It was the first year that I didn't perform in recital, and I will be taking this upcoming year off from teaching, since I probably won't even have time to brush my hair! The same weekend, my mom was admitted to the ER after two blood clots were found in her leg (she had broken her foot the week before). They actually did two ultrasounds in a matter of 20 minutes at the hospital, and thankfully they did, because the clot actually broke apart and spread into her groin after the first ultrasound! I was thanking God every moment that I had that weekend that she was at the hospital of all places when it broke. They could have easily sent her home after the first ultrasound. So, after four days at Hotel Peace River, she was good to go! On the 4th, we are headed to Michigan for a week, and I could not be more excited. We're spending lots of time with family and good friends, and even headed to the Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City for a couple of days! I'm sure I'll have tons of photos to share when we come home (if Nick can get me back on the plane ;) ) Here are some photos of our past two weekends, including Brixon's first trip to the movie theatre ('Cars 2', did you even have to ask?!?) and the Imaginarium Children's Museum. And, no, I haven't been too busy to get his hair cut. He has the cutest little curls, and I hate to cut them off! So the Abercrombie look it is :)

The Mass Gaining Phase...
Yes, this would be the point in pregnancy where it becomes absolutely inconceivable to choose an apple over a Blizzard. Or a granola bar over a Snickers bar. I have neglected to take any belly photos (mainly because I can barely remember to turn the water off after I'm done showering these days, much less remember to bring a camera with me when we go anywhere), but you can take my word for it; I'm a large marge. I'm a little over 23 weeks, and even after how big my belly got with Brixon, I'm still pretty surprised at how much bigger I am this time around! It may have something to do with the lack of self-control with food choices ;) And remind me, if I am brave enough to do this again, to never ever be pregnant during a Florida summer.

So excited! He was literally jumping up and down! Then about 45 minutes into it, he just wanted to run up and down the steps :)

"Mommy and Daddy went to Eye-wuh..."
Nick and I headed back to the midwest for Memorial Day weekend. We went for just a few days to see some of his family, and we had a great time! Although there are no farmers on either side of our families, Brixon has developed a fascination with John Deere tractors. They manufacture them right in the Quad Cities, so we had to stop and buy Brixon a few little ones. He was so excited to get them; he kept telling his teachers at school "Mommy and Daddy went to Eye-wuh...they brought me JOHN DEERE tractors!" We also stopped at Antique Archaeology, which, if you are a History Channel nerd like me, you will recognize from the show 'American Pickers.' After a super busy few months of travel, the suitcase is back in the closet. Well, until the 4th of July, when we're headed up to Michigan for a week! I can't wait!
