Brixon's Big Move

After several long weeks of waiting, Nick finally felt Brixon kick on Sunday night! To be honest with you, I'm not sure why it took so long....I feel like I have a little David Beckham in there!Especially between 8-9pm...that's his "power hour" when he really gives it the gravy. Yeowza....I can only imagine what it will feel like in a few months! Nonetheless, it was an exciting moment for both of us!!

Woo hoo!!

Hello everyone! As many of you already know, Nick and I were named the 2008 Young Entrepreneurs of the Year last Friday at the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Night. It was an absolutely wonderful honor, and we were given a standing ovation by all 250 attendees when the announcement was made! Receiving recognition like that makes the three months of eating spaghetti and macaroni and cheese for dinner worth it! It feels really amazing to have all of your hard work recognized and rewarded by your community. Here are some photos of the evening:

And here is a portion of the press release:

Young Entrepreneur Award: BIN 82 TASTING ROOM

We can't thank you enough...

Last night, Bin 82 welcomed 21 Purple Heart recipients from Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. These young Marines (many of them younger than Nick and me) have all been wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan, and several of them will soon be returning to duty overseas. Of all of the experiences Nick and I have had at Bin 82 thus far, this was by far the most incredible. I have never met a more gracious and kind group of people in my life, and we were honored to have them here. Thank you for everything that you do.

Halfway there!

So little Brixon is halfway cooked! We are so excited!!!! I'm not quite sure how I'm going to make it four more months! We have had so much fun shopping for him! We got him his first (and second) pair of Puma's! Are they not the cutest little things ever!?!?
So far, I have gained around 22-23 pounds...I was really hoping Brixon accounted for about 6 or 7 of them already :), then the doctor had to tell me he weighs 13 ounces. Hmm. Well this little guy is the one that made me stop at Wal-Mart yesterday for a bag of Double Stuf Oreo's! I mean, I can't tell him no!!! :P
P.S. If you want a killer migraine, register for baby stuff. Holy crap on a stick...talk about overwhelming! Geez, how many different choices for car seats, strollers and even washcloths do you need?!?!
