Can We Really Make it 13 Hours?!?!

Nick proposed a crazy idea for our summer vacation; let's get in the car, drive 13 hours, and meet up with a bunch of our college friends and their kids at Matt and Carrie's North Carolina mountain house. I thought he was absolutely delusional to think that our kids could make it that far (or me, for that matter). Surprisingly, it was amazing! We drove straight through on the way there, and the kids were absolute troopers! I enjoyed about 750 rounds of Scrabble on my phone, and loved hearing how excited the kids were! Once we got there, we spent lots of time around the campfire, wandering around Sparta, hitting and hunting for golf balls, playing board games, and hiking. On the way home, we stopped in Savannah for the night where we took a historic carriage ride, sweat a lot, and stayed in a haunted hotel! Brixon even wanted to go to the Bonaventure Cemetery! It was a great trip :)

And it begins...
