The musings of a wife, mom, and thirty-something who will pretty much try anything...

Actually, yeah, I did come up here to see John Mayer...

So I found out that John Mayer was going to be in Grand Rapids, and it had been a whole three weeks since I had last seen him in concert, so I made a quick jaunt north. I got in super late on Friday night, and stayed overnight in DeWitt at my Aunt Kelly's house. Saturday, we got up early and headed to my cousin Delaney's cheer competition, which incidentally, was at Kenowa! I haven't been there since I graduated! And even more awesome was the fact that our senior class photo was hanging in the cafeteria. Where it's been for ten years. Showcasing my sweet '00's haircut :) After that, I had lunch with my good friend Melissa. I always forget just how much I miss that girl! Saturday night was spent with my family, then downtown with a bunch of old friends! Sunday I had breakfast with Aunt Vicki and family, and then went to the Meyer May House. I love Frank Lloyd Wright, and somehow I managed to live in GR for 20 years, and never visit the one house he designed there! Sunday night was dinner at Bistro, my absolute favorite, and then the concert! At the risk of sounding like a ridiculously obsessed groupie, John Mayer is phenomenal. I don't care what he says in an interview; he is so good. Monday was shopping, lunch with Aunt Kim, and an exhausting flight home! It was a short trip, but always worth it! I didn't take a ton of photos, but here they are...
Does this photo really need a caption?!?
