August brought lots of change; some I wasn't totally ready for. Brixon started at a new elementary school, full-time in their gifted program. It requires him to take the bus both to and from school, and it is odd not having him at the school that Hudson is at (that we love!). It's going to be an adjustment, but it is a great opportunity that he is really looking forward to, so we are hopeful for a smooth transition. He also got braces! He went from 9 to 15 a little too quickly! Hudson started first grade, a new soccer season, and drum lessons! Brixon passed on soccer this year, but joined K Kids (a kid-centric community organization) through his school and also the chorus. They are growing up too fast!
