Thank God for Camera Phones...

...or there's a pretty good chance I would have no evidence of my children growing up ;) We are trying to adjust to me being back to work, and it is a struggle! We're getting there, though. We have a great nanny that comes three days a week (Nick and Carrie cover the other two for now), and I even splurged, and hired a housekeeper every other week. I am a control freak when it comes to my house, but I didn't want to be spending every single weekend cleaning, when I would much rather be playing baseball or getting spit-up on :)

We're enjoying a rare low-key weekend (although we'll be celebrating our 6 year anniversary tomorrow!) before my huge birthday bash next Friday, and our trip to Italy next Sunday! I'm super excited about both! I'm hoping that turning the big 3-0 is less painful internationally! I kid; I'm really not too stressed about the arrival of my fourth decade (!) And we get back just in time for Mother's Day! These few weeks are always a pricey one for Nick! Ha!

Here are some pics of what we've been up to the past few weeks. I'm sure I'll have plenty more in my next post! Ciao!!!!

Easter Sunday (Nick was in Chicago on the trip that I got him for Christmas; I obviously did not look at the calendar before purchasing!)

Gimme One More Goodbye Kiss...

Here's a little clip of CoverArt (with me crashing the party) at the Block Party last weekend. The audio isn't great, as it was awful weather and we were filming it on a Flip, but you get the idea :)

Mummies Get Funky to the Right...

Okay, I am literally forcing myself to update this blog; picking my drooling cranium up off the keyboard as I battle sheer exhaustion. Yes folks, I have returned to work, and I am feeling every bit of it. We have been going nonstop for the last month, right up until Sunday night. A few weeks ago, my Aunt Vicki and Uncle Dave came into town, so we spent a few days shopping, beaching and just enjoying family. The next weekend was the air show, and Brix, being a typical boy, loves planes. We went to a pre-show party on Friday, and he got to meet the Blue Angels. I'm not sure who was more excited; mom or Brix ;) Then last week, Aunt Kim, Aunt Kelly, and lots of friends came into town for my favorite time of year, Funkfest! Yes, every year I say I wont let Nick throw another concert, and every year, he does it anyway :) And I'm always glad that he does; it was an absolute blast yet again! Even Hot Mess got to perform! I'm constantly amazed at how a guy manages to misplace his car keys and sunglasses nearly every day, but throw a concert for 2,500 people with less than two months to plan it. My favorite part of the night, though, was watching Brixon meet the Mummies. He has loved them since before he was two, and has asked (begged; pleaded, really) to meet them the last two times they've been here. And they don't do that for anyone! He was so excited. He walked right up, and said "Hi!" and told them his favorite song. They got their photo taken together, and as he walked back to me, he said "this is so EXCITING!" It was the best.

And that brings me to today....back as a productive member of the workforce. I cannot believe how fast those six months went by. I got a lot accomplished around the house, did some fun projects, and bonded with my little buddies. I sure will miss them during the day; darn kids and their need for expensive formula and diapers!!
