Since I was busy with the studio opening last year, I didn't get to truly savor the Christmas season last year. So this year, I made up for lost time. I decorated about a week before Thanksgiving, and we made sure we had the fireplace burning and Christmas lights on all day, every day. I volunteered for Brixon's Christmas festivities at school, and we enjoyed plenty of winter events! The kids had a great holiday, and got everything they could have ever wanted. Brixon said he wanted to be surprised, and Hudson just wanted to be on the good list :) And somehow, Nick convinced me to buy them a trampoline.

Wait, We Won WHAT?!
This year, we decided to participate in the Charlotte County Christmas Parade, and have a float for the studio. We had no idea that over 75 of our kids and parents would want to join in the fun! We had a great time, and even won first place for best decorated car/truck! On December 19th, we were also asked to perform at the Winter Extravaganza in downtown Punta Gorda. Our acro students performed 'Where are You Christmas?' and two of our guitar/vocal students performed 'Radioactive' and 'Jingle Bells.'

Day of Thanks (and Pie)...
Thanksgiving was fairly quiet for us this year, which is just the way I like it :) It is quite possibly my favorite morning of the year. I love nothing more than waking up early in the morning, cooking a big breakfast, grabbing a hot cup of coffee, and piling on the couch with the family to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade! We actually got a pretty nice extended family photo this year (aside from a slightly uncooperative Brixon) :) I also left you some photos of other November adventures, like two Black Taxi shows, the Edison/Ford Winter Estates, and about 400 trips to Starbucks :)

Season of Change...
October has ushered in some major life changes for our kiddos! Hudson got his first haircut (which was quite the uphill battle!) and became potty trained, and Brixon began swimming, reading, and started riding his bike without training wheels! I cannot believe how fast our little guys are growing! Brixon loves Legos, Minecraft, reading, riding his bike, playing cars, ukulele lessons, and acting. He's analytical, persistent, and we're still working on the temper :) Hudson loves pretty much anything his brother does! He likes to watch 'Handy Manny,' and has quite the eclectic taste in music! Our days can be long and trying, but we do the best we can to enjoy every moment!

We Were a Little Predictable...
Halloween is one of my very favorite times of the year. I love everything about it; the costumes, the scary movies....the candy :) This year, Hudson wanted to be Olaf from 'Frozen,' so Lexy and I ran with it (like everyone else in America). Brixon wanted to be a ninja, so I let him pick out his own costume! We trick-or-treated in a local neighborhood, then went to a dinner party with our friends Murray, Sarah, Davin and Ella. The day prior to Halloween, I was lucky enough to be able to accompany Brixon on his school field trip to a pumpkin patch. We had a great time. I love being able to create a schedule around that of my kids!! This month wasn't without fun for the grown-ups, either! We headed up to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, and had an absolutely wonderful time!!! I can't wait to go again next year!
