In September, we headed up to Michigan for a week to attend my dad's ArtPrize debut! His piece, 'Casey's Castle' was selected to participate in the competition, and was featured at the Grand Rapids Children's Museum! Our week was full from start to finish; we spent a ton of time with family and friends, which is always my favorite part! We visited the zoo, the Children's Museum, the public museum, wandered everywhere around downtown, and visited Founders! We also wandered Rockford, the kids got the usual tour of mom's old stomping grounds, and pulled off a surprise party for my dad! The weather was perfect, and the kids were great. Another successful return home!
